One of my favorite silhouettes is the wide-leg. It’s fun and floaty, classic and simple, and always a head-turner. A look that we remember from decades back, wide-leg trousers have been seen on serious style icons. Take one of my favorite beauties, Katharine Hepburn, for example, who pushed boundaries way back in the 1930’s by wearing ‘boyish’ pieces and boxy trousers exclusively reserved for men. Nowadays, women are thankfully more empowered to try different things, and though rocking wide-leg styles may be daunting at first, the look can be worn several different ways. Cropped, boxy, tailored or flowy – take your pick – and have fun with it.
This jumpsuit from Reformation is the business. And yes, I’ve had the hems shortened, because as you can see, it was definitely dragging on my 5’5″ frame, and that’s one of my pet peeves.
