Playground Love
Do you remember high school? That sweet escape when the bell rang? Your crush? Lying in the grass on your break staring at the sun through the trees? Or if you were lucky like me, literally running to the beach for a swim during lunch and barely making your next class, ocean water in your hair. This post is dedicated to those doodle-drawing, underwhelming, overwhelming, melodramatic, stressful, exhilarating, forever-young days. If you’re a fan of nostalgia, and beautifully stylized visuals à la Sofia Coppola’s film “The Virgin Suicides,” then I hope you enjoy this evocative photo-series shot by my friend Yesi that captures a girl seemingly waiting for her playground love. Nothing like melancholy sweetness. Photography Yesica Laver Flores of Simply Lively
