Parlez Vous Jacquemus?

Simon Porte Jacquemus is one of fashion’s most talked about young designers serving up conceptual pieces that are aspirational and – thanks to the price-point – actually obtainable. With the revered oversized ‘Jacquemus hat’ (pictured here) and romantic dresses inspired by the South of France, the designer’s creations are quite literally a breath of fresh air. Asymmetry, sheer fabrics, plunging necklines and ruching graced the SS19 runway, transporting everyone to the Riviera. As we move through the seasons however, Jacquemus showcases his ability to switch it up while staying true to his point of view. A more sophisticated, less sensual woman can be seen walking the Ready-To-Wear and AW19 runway. Chunky knitwear and structured coats abound, along with bold colors, which the designer has expressed his passion for. Jacquemus has proven that he designs not just for the sexy beach-body woman, but for the artful femme as well.

In this post, I am wearing ‘Le Chapeau Bomba’ (aka the #JacquemusHat) and ‘La Robe Palombaggia’ dress. Photography by @simplylively.
